M. Goldschmidt appoints residence hall manager and caretaker for M. Goldschmidt Kollegiet Mønten in the Amager district in Copenhagen

The large, new residence hall located at Ved Mønten 10-12 and Amager Boulevard 115 in the Amager district in Copenhagen will soon be ready to welcome new occupants. In early 2012, the M. Goldschmidt Group acquired the property that previously housed the Royal Danish Mint and has since refurbished and rebuilt the entire complex to make it inviting and ready for quality-minded students. Our decision to emphasize quality, security and safety proved to be correct; shortly after we opened for rental applications, all flats were taken, and we now have a waiting list, especially for our one bedroom flats.

With effect from 1 August 2012, we have employed Poul Zinck as residence hall manager and caretaker of the property. Poul has previously held technical project positions and worked as a swimming instructor and sports centre inspector at Skagen Culture and Leisure (Skagen Kultur- og Fritidscenter), and he has extensive experience in tending properties and engaging with young people. Poul will take up residence in the property himself. We have used this model with success at our residence halls in Holbæk and, in order to make everybody feel safe and secure, we have installed CCTVs in communal areas and have taken various measures to ensure that both residents and guests observe our house rules. Maintaining a peaceful, quiet, pleasant and safe atmosphere at our three residence halls and keeping residents and neighbours happy is a very big priority for us.
